I was scrolling through TikTok and heard this song.. so I ended up looking for the full song and I’m just like wow. This song hit me with the feels.
Absolutely embodies everything that I hve felt being friends with women who are all a lot smaller than me my whole life and damn it would have been nice to have this song when I was younger. Really recommend giving it a listen.

I just listened to the YT link and am in tears. i am the designated ugly fat friend. i feel so seen and so sad.
It’s a beautiful song but she’s promoting her own weight loss on her Instagram. IMO that is not the best example for young fat girls who seem to be the target audience for this song.
As someone the same age as her who struggles with the discrimination that comes with fatness, it makes me feel some type of way to see my life experiences be reflected by someone who very likely put herself through severe restriction to not “have” to be a part of the community.
Idk-I just listened to it bc of this post and was excited (more representation yay!) but then I saw how much weight she has lost and kinda confused she still released this. Sorry to be such a buzzkill. I thought I’d just put this perspective out there in case anyone had the same reaciton as me to her insta.
I didn’t see her Instagram and yeah she has lost a shit ton of weight hey. I think the song is great and still resonates but it would be so good if she was still big to be a role model for other younger fat kids, but we never know what people are going through and in some ways it makes the song even sadder because she wasn’t able to accept herself at her size and lost all that weight to fit in. That’s the reality isn’t it.
Yeah thatis a good pointl. I’m sure she’s under a ton of pressure in the industry to look a certain way... I have nothing against individual weight loss and bodies naturally change in all types of ways, but its not gonna happen in any healthy way if her music label has something to do with it.
Her voice is stunning and the lyrics are 👌🏽
