Christmas Party Trends For All Shapes And Sizes

This year felt like a blur of tassel earrings, culottes and metallic shoes and now all of a sudden it’s December. The clock is now ticking for you to find the ultimate Christmas party outfit for whatever festive occasions you have planned this year. This is our favourite time of year for fashion because, well, who doesn’t enjoy the opportunity to get glammed up and enjoy some free prosecco courtesy of your boss. Of course you can just trust that old LBD you’ve got at the back of your wardrobe, but why not make 2017 the year you switch things up and embrace some of these hot style trends for the festive season:

Metallics

The metallics trends has been huge in 2017 and with the nights drawing in and the glitter balls going up, it’s definitely a hot choice for your Xmas party outfit. Whether you wear the metallic trend in the form of a gold dress (very bond girl) or add a touch of sass with some metallic boots – you’re bound to wow with this stylish addition to your wardrobe.

Sequins

It wouldn’t be the festive season is sparkly sequins and glittery fabulousness weren’t involved, so spruce up your winter wardrobe with a little glamour this year – you’ll definitely get more wear out of it in years to come as sequins and Xmas parties go hand in hand every year!</span>

<span style=”font-weight: 400;”>For 2017, keep it chic with a sequin dress like this golden number from Boohoo.</span>

Velvet

Be sleek, sexy and stylish this year in a velveteen dress. We love the velvet trend because it just oozes luxe and class (and is also a great choice on a cold winter night!). A top pick is the red velveteen dress from ASOS curve. As a wrap dress it’s also a really flattering cut – has xmas come early this year?!

Winter Florals

If there’s one trend we’re really loving in 2017, it’s the boho winter florals that are prettying up so many evening dresses and tops this festive season. If you want to add a feminine yet luxe touch to your xmas party look, then a dark floral dress is the perfect style to go for.

We love this Navabi evening dress, which would suit all body shapes.

Alt-LBD

Ok, so we know we said to leave your trusty LBD in the back of your wardrobe but only because in 2017, it’s all about the extra sassy LBD. We love Callie Thorpe’s sheer, star print black LBD from ASOS Curve, which is totally on trend and perfect for the festive season. Our absolute fave, Ashley Graham also works the Alt-LBD trend with this cut out sleeve and tailored black number from Dress Barn.
