Curvy Cons Of 2018

We’re all familiar with conventions springing up and down the country celebrating all things from comics to TV series and so much more. Did you know that the curvy convention exists too! Well, of course, you did. Unless you’ve been living under a rock…

We’ve highlighted some of the most popular curvy conventions in 2018,  from around the UK, the US and beyond.

Curvy Cons You Need To Attend In 2018

The Curvy Con

The Curvy Con, founded by plus size blogging legends Chastity Garner and CeCe Olissa is a two-day curvy convention event that embraces all things curvy. Since 2017 Curvy Con takes place at the same time as New York fashion week.

Dates T.B.C.

The Curve Fashion Festival

Launched in 2015, in partnership with New Look, the Curve Fashion Festival is coming to Liverpool in November.  Filled with catwalk shows, celebrity talks and so much shopping this is one day not to be missed.

Date: 17th November

The Curvy Fashionista Style Expo

Also launched in 2015, the Curvy Fashionista Style Expo is a curvy convention that takes online conversations about plus size fashion and body confidence offline in a weekend jampacked with workshops, talks and shopping. It was founded by Marie Dence of TheCurvyFashionista.com and takes place in Atlanta.

Dates: 11th – 12th August

I Got Curve Appeal

Chicago based The Curvy Alliance is a multicultural group who are all about empowering and educating people about the fuller figure.  I Got Curve Appeal does just that and more and comes to Chicago at the end of September.

Dates: 28th – 30th September

Curvy Expo

Canada’s answer to the curvy convention is the Curvy Expo and it’s back for 2018 in Toronto

Dates: T.B.C.

Curvy Carribean Conference

This conference, for curvy Jamaican women, is the first of it’s kind and takes place in Kingston, Carribean at the end of April with support from NYC supermodel Tricia Campbell and Atlanta based blogger Nikki Freestyle.

Dates: 28th – 29th April

Curve Las Vegas

As the name suggests this curvy convention takes place in Las Vegas and focuses on all things lingerie and swimwear. Curve Las Vegas celebrates intimate wear for both men and women!

Dates: August 13th -15th August

UK Plus Size Fashion Week

The UK Plus Size Fashion Week or rather weekend is more than just an event, it’s about bringing together like-minded people to talk about plus size fashion, body confidence and so much more. The London based convention takes place in May with a campaign of #BeProudBeYou.

Dates:  4th- 6th May

The one thing that all of these conventions have in common is that they celebrate body confidence and we think that that’s pretty great.

Will you be going to a curvy con in 2018?
